Will putting hand sanitizer on your face just one time damage your face?

I accidentally put hand sanitizer on my face. i was tired and it looked like my facial lotion. if I don’t do it any more, will my face be alright? I’ve heard putting hand sanitizer on your face is kind of a bad thing, but will this one time harm my face or will it be ok??
