Look in the phone book under health food stores this is you best bet most are very knowledgeable and will tell you exactly which essential oil to use..These are not cheap some of them are cheaper than other oils depending on what you want, and very small bottles but you use very little of the oil at a time. It does take a long time to see results so you must continue to use the oils till you get the results you want. Most sales personal are very helpful hope you find a good store if they are not helpful try another store.

Essential oils should be available from good health shops or online, the following article titled “Choosing True Essential Oils” may be of help if you are unfamiliar with using or buying essential oils http://aromatherapyandnaturalskincare.com.au/index.php?essential_oils=168&Choosing%20True%20Essential%20Oils

In relation to “im not exactly sure what they are”. You may find the following information useful!

Plants contain complex & powerful substances often referred to the “essence of the plant”, which assist the plants to grow, evolve, and adapt to its surroundings by defending the plants from insects & diseases.

Essential oils are concentrated liquids having little or no affinity of water. Basically, they are the extracted “essence of the plant”. Steam distillation is the most popular method of extracting essential oil. The process entails placing the botanical plant in a still motion and permitting the hot steam to pass through the plant. The hot steam serves as the forcing agent that helps the plant to discharge its aroma by opening its compartment in which oils are situated. Maceration, cold pressing, and solvent extraction are some processes used in extracting oils from botanical plants.

The oils are called essential oils because they are essential to life and essence to the plant

Aromatherapy is entirely based on the use of essential oils. Aromatherapy uses essential oils to assist in therapeutic treatments through massage, infused steam inhalations, baths, etc

    Hope this helps!
