I don’t get it. How can a chemical (or laser) peel improve your skin? As soon as the skin heals from the?

trauma of having several layers removed it will form a layer of dry, dead skin over it to protect the new skin. This dry layer of skin will be scaly and wrinkled-looking.
The reason I know this is because I did a microdermobrasion treatment at home and this is what happened. How can this procedure done in a plastic surgeon’s office be any different?
